Just received two calls from this number 210-249-0540. ID said it was from Novatel. A guy with a foreign accent said he was calling from "the government of the US," at which point I told him goodbye and hung up. There was also a lot of background noise, that sounded like the guy was in a call center type setting. A few minutes later, another call came in, but we did not answer it.
That Number called me, my mobile rang once then stopped, so i added it to the declined callers list
This number has called me 6 times. When it reaches 10, I file suit in district court. This is somewhat a hobby. I usually can't collect, but I do have the court get the business owner's social security number or Business number. I do ask for the full $10,000 for each call but usually only get a portion. The company rarely shows up, so I win in default. Though they fail to pay the judgement, I end up sending a 1099C or debt forgiveness to the company. The company then has to list the amount as an asset on their income tax return and I get to take it off as a bad investment. Another company did this to me at a business off San Pedro. The generally called me 4 times a day for over two months. After winning a high six figure judgment, the man called to beg me to take a $21,000 settlement. I told him absolutely not. He had to pay the IRS over $135000 for taxes of my judgment alone. If you can get these scam callers in your own city, it is so easy to file suit in district court and the Federal Communication Commission will support you.
This number didn't call me but they called my mom and grandma claiming they were my brother and a lawyer. They even had my "brother" talk on the phone. They told my mom had grandma that my brother was in a car accident and severely broke his nose and needed $1,000 for vehicle repairs and that my brothers insurance would pay my grandma back. My brother lives in Utah, when I finally got ahold of him he was waking up, never having set foot in Mexico City. But by the time I got ahold of my mom my grandma had already sent the money Western Union. I tried to tell my mom from the get go that it was all very odd and the story didn't add up. I asked her who this lawyer was and she didn't know. They didn't get a name of the so called law firm he was working for, they didn't get a number for the jail my brother was supposedly at, nothing. Now they are frantically trying to get their money back and I doubt it will be with much success. ALWAYS, ALWAYS check peoples credentials. This is very heartbreaking for my grandma and mom. They did not have the money to give like that and this is causing much more heartache on them than anything else.
I didn't answer, but this unwanted call cost my trac phone account anyway
They are NOT CHASE. they are harassers. when the bank calls, they leave an automated message and ask you to call back. they are big on security. this is a scam.
No answer robocall
Re: warranty on cars we havent had for years.
Robo Call, a recorded voice asks "Can you hear me" and I messed up and said Yes. It went on, and told me I recently stayed in their Resort (never named) and that they wanted to give me a free cruise and I'd just need to rent the car which would costs about 200 and something dollars. Then it asked "Is it ok if I ask you some querstions" and I said NO, to which it said some nice "Thanks and sorry for bothering you" before hanging up. Sounds like a scam to me. It never stated any names, and I haven't been anywhere 'lately' to have received any calls. It might just be telemarketing style advertising, but either way it was unsolicited and I wasn't about to give them any information.
Whenever you hear YOU in the conversation, if they leave a message or talk on a live call, they do not know your name or else they would address who they are speaking to by your name. They are just calling random numbers thinking that they may get a live one who will give them a credit card number or else social security number. Then they can either have a very good time with your charge card or else steal your identity! If you have caller ID check the phone number out through the Internet then you will see that it is a scam. I feel bad for the elderly who do not have or like computers.... some of them are very vulnerable to scammers. If you have caller ID and do not recognize the phone number or else if it is Caller Unknown and or Number Unknown better to just not answer it. It seems like the authorities cannot do much about catching scammers for they always keep using a different phone number. Just wish everyone would learn how to work at a Real Job then they can make their own $! Always remember to NOT be a Victim! If you know that you are a outstanding citizen who has not done any wrong to anyone and are current on all bills NO police officer or magistrate judge is coming for you.
This is happening nearly every week once or twice a week PPi it's a pain
Call to inform me that I won a cruise for 2 to the Bahamas. Press 1 to fill out survey or 9 to be "permanently removed". I pressed 9 but will block the number to be certain of no more calls.
Don't say a word, but keeps calling over,& over & over, over! Its time to stop this and report this number to the National "Do not Call list" so they can get them a Big Fine! Maybe if they have to paid so money out they will stop!
