I have had a lot of calls from this number (with 8 in the end), finally when I managed to answer, a man with foreign accent said he is calling because my PC is sending reports to them about harmful viruses and he can help me fix it. A new scam?

Apparently...this number is not the only one these people are using to call about a similar problem regarding computers and viruses...my father in law just received a call from 025-390-1816 telling him about some bad virus that was downloaded to his computer and the person also had a foreign accent and sounded concern about the potential problem with my father in law's computer. Now, he's all upset. I told him it was a scam and that from now on to completely disregard any number that appears on his caller ID that he does not recognize. Unfortunately, the elderly are especially targeted here...because they don't realize what lunatics are out there trying to steal whatever information they can from them. Now it's the computer they're trying to get at. Unbelievable...something has to be done to stop them from getting to innocent people who may not know any better.
