They call my work number numerous times a day, and leave no message. They are a collection agency but wont give out any information and then they as for payroll. Does anyone know who these people are?

Tired of these calls? Here's my plan to "give back". All you need is a computer with a fax modem. USB fax modems are available from Amazon for less than $20. Then let your computer return some of these calls. Simply create a document in a word processor and then print it to your fax queue. You will be asked what number the fax modem should call. Make the document at least 20 pages long. You can generate an empty 20 page document by simply adding 19 page breaks. If you have a message you would like to send, insert it between the page breaks. This document will work for any phone number but your message will only be seen if you send it to another fax machine. The sci-freak headquarter's fax number is 1-323-960-3508. You will probably want to send several copies of your document. But don't stop there. You can also send this fax to a non-fax phone number. Queue up a lot of copies of your document to the other numbers listed below. Your fax modem will become your very own mindless zombie robot dialing the numbers over and over and over. Sound familiar? Other numbers to try: 1-323-960-350‍0 (this is the main headquarters number) 1-323-960-3543 1-323-953-3273 1-323-953-3339 1-323-953-3340 1-323-580-5513 1-323-580-5520 1-323-386-5697 1-323-888-6200

Identity was identified as "N.C.C.", a bill collection company. I asked what bill I owed (since all the people listed in this thread are all from Virginia and I am not. My cell number was looked-up by them and was unfound. They claim that they are going to put a manager on the case and have my number "blocked" from receiving calls every few days...

Call from Grapevine, Texas. Received a call at my home and work from "John Martin" saying he was calling from the Texas Sheriff's office and about a case against me in which a warrant for my arrest has been issued. When I called back I asked him for his badge number and what the case number was for the warrant being issued (since they have to provide that information) and what the "debt" in question was. He quickly got defensive and said since I wasn't going to give him information, he wished me "good luck" because they are proceeding with the case against me, and hung up on me. When I called back again (because hey, they called me 3 or 4 times, why can't I do the same?) I got someone's voicemail - sounded like an Indian person trying to imitate a Texas accent. The lawyers I work with quickly called and confirmed that there are no outstanding warrants for my arrest anywhere in the US (why would there be, since I haven't done anything illegal)?? Beware of this SCAM and do NOT pay anyone without proper documentation!!
