3 things we all need to know: 1 Ask for their professional license number. 2 name address and phone number of the company they re calling from. 3 Request they send you a validation number to verify debt. 4 NEVER GIVE YOUR LAST 4 NUMBERS OF YOUR ss.

I recently posted a car ad on Craiglist. This call sounds like a lot of the others I have been reading about on this site. I didn't recognize the number so I sent it an "I'm busy" message. I called the number back and the man answered with the "Caller's Network" greeting.

This number has called me 6 times. When it reaches 10, I file suit in district court. This is somewhat a hobby. I usually can't collect, but I do have the court get the business owner's social security number or Business number. I do ask for the full $10,000 for each call but usually only get a portion. The company rarely shows up, so I win in default. Though they fail to pay the judgement, I end up sending a 1099C or debt forgiveness to the company. The company then has to list the amount as an asset on their income tax return and I get to take it off as a bad investment. Another company did this to me at a business off San Pedro. The generally called me 4 times a day for over two months. After winning a high six figure judgment, the man called to beg me to take a $21,000 settlement. I told him absolutely not. He had to pay the IRS over $135000 for taxes of my judgment alone. If you can get these scam callers in your own city, it is so easy to file suit in district court and the Federal Communication Commission will support you.

DEFINITELY a SCAM. Caller "Charlie" with a heavy Indian accent claimed to be from Microsoft and there was "bad virus on your computer". I made it clear that he was free to scam someone else (we have no Microsoft products) before slamming the phone in his ear.
