Called in regards to my computer claiming I downloaded a virus and that he's from Microsoft to fix it. Sounds fishy to me.

If it is a real elec. company, they should have informed of what company they are but they didn't. If you have not signed something with your current elec. company to inform them you do not want your private info given out to other parties, then all the elec. companies can contact you with their sales pitches.
