IRS Scam call using VOIP to make number "appear" to be IRS in Atlanta. Answered call with "hello" only to be followed by silence and a computer generated voice "goodbye". Apparently, and according to other scam phone reports online regarding this number; they will threaten you will legal action, arrest, and criminal charges, if you don't provide immediate payment. Do not answer or call back this scammer and blocking the number is your best bet. Also, post something online so others may quickly realize this is a scam when they google search the number. Thanks to all that had already posted when I went to research the phone number after receiving multiple calls. Lastly, the IRS has multiple warnings regarding this type of scam and has stated the IRS will never contact you by phone or email; always USPS mail.

They called my cell also and left a message but the message said nothing at all so just a pain in the ass is what I think their number should be listed as.
MP; I to was called about 2 charges aginest my S.S. and they started to give me a case # and stopped ( ZOL***** ) and gave this phone # ( 701-314-1717 ) The 701 is in North Dakota USA
Got the same call from this number today, but it was a Roland Stone. They also called my husband employer looking for information about me on a bogus debt. Gave his employer a phone # and case number for my alleged debt. and told his employer that they were going to serve him with a summons at his work place! for a bogus debt that is not even his. I called Ronald Stone, asked him for mailing address so I could send cest & desist letter. He would not give it to me. I also asked them to mail me a letter to validate this debt. He said that they did not have to do that, that we would settle it in court. I told him I was looking forward to it. Annoying scammers, Beware!!!
Got an automated call stating my name and threatened a summon and a case number if not called back at same number about this case. My place of employment or my work job this summon will be placed. My credit shows no collections nor anything in mail to my address and have No idea who these people are. Blocked them. Scam my guess. This method is not allied with USA laws.
