If you want to get rid of a creditor who is calling the wrong # tell them this as it worked for me: Tell them you will personally walk into a police station with a DL or state ID card and your birth certificate to prove I wasn't the person they were looking for. Tell them to call the station while you are there and you will volunteer to have a "28" ran on you while at the station. Have the deputy tell them a police report has been filed against the agency and you are taking that report to the FTC, Consumer Affairs, the BBB, and the dept. of Business. Once these reports are filed your attorney will handle the rest and the lawsuit you are filing from there and you hope they don't lose their liability insurance which would put them out of business rather quickly. It is what I literally had to do. I am currently in the process and the agency has been fined so far. I hope that helps.

Someone from this company keeps calling for Jelina which does not live here and I told them every time they call and I'm fed up with the harrestment and wish could put a stop to it

Calls started yesterday morning, 9/13. They call every hour. I finally answered and a man asked for Brandon Routh (who, btw, is an actor who played Superman). I tell them they have the wrong number but he keeps calling back. I do not have a GMAC loan or any type of loan, except for our mortgage.

Calls start @ 8 in the morning and will go on all day, at least once an hour until 9 @ night. They do not leave a message on the answering machine. This is Ally Bank regarding my GMAC lease. They are , in fact, calling again for the third time right now. My account is current, so I do not answer the phone. I"ve simply turned down the ringer volume, so I glance at the caller ID, and ignore the call. Like my out going message says: I don't answer calls. Leave a message or you won't get a call back. I pay for the phone service but am under no obligation to answer the phone when it rings.

I had the same problem with these nuisance callers. I've never heard of them, don't owe them anything, but they continue to call all hours of the day. They have the wrong number, but refuse to stop calling. So...I beat them at their own game. I contacted my local phone company and learned how to turn the "Selective Blocked Call" service on from my telephone. Then, when they called me again, I dialed *60 and followed the voice prompts to block the number. I haven't heard from them since. You should call your local telephone service provider and see if they offer the same service.

They have been calling non-stop for the past two weeks, claiming to be "Allied" or "Ally", and either send a tape-recorded message, ask to hold the line for "an important message," or sometimes come on-line asking for someone named "Kristie." Upon doing some research, I've discovered this number is connected to an "Ally Financial", formally GMAC. I do not have an account with GMAC, nor do I owe money, nor is my name Kristie. I am registered with www.donotcall.gov, and have been for the past two years. How does this number get through???? I have not picked up, as this could further complicate the matter. This is an unsolicited call.

I keep receiving unwanted calls from this credit agency, calling themselves "Ally Solutions". The person (or persons) they are looking for do not live at my residence and I have asked them repeatedly to STOP calling. They apologize, promise to update their records, and the calls will stop....temporarily. After a couple of weeks the calls start up again and the name(s) of the person they are looking for may change. I have changed my phone number THREE times now, pay to have it unlisted and I am registered on the National Do-Not Call Registry. All, in an attempt to stop harassing and unwanted calls such as this. But, I can't get it to stop, although I have filed complaints on several complaint boards/forums. Can anyone please give me advice on how to get this madness to STOP!?

I have seen numerous postings about this number originating from GMAC. The agency calling me identifies themselves as "Allied Solutions" (or something). For the record, I do not have any loans or outstanding credit through GMAC, and I do not own a car manufactured by GM.

They call daily... I am so frustrated that I do NOT remember what they wanted... I just know that it has nothing to do with me ... I have asked many times for them not to call...morning, noon and night... they just continue

number leaves a message of a recording. does not state purpose of call and calls about 3 or 4 times a day.
