246 Area Code

Don't know anyone from Barbados. Called 7 times back to back

1 ring and cut calls every 15 minutes

I keep getting calls from different numbers but all with the 246 area code

Been calling me every night at 3AM. Installed a call blocker but seems pretty regular that they keep calling.

I got the call from that number @ 3:10am.

Did not answer as I don't answer anyone not already in my phone book. But it showed it was coming from Barbados. Scam I'm sure.

Got a call, called back, busy number. I deal with people all over the U.S. so not uncommon.

Answered call but no one was there. A common scam is to get you to call their number back in order to solve the mystery as to who called your phone number. Often a return call will bill your phone from $49 to $99 or more. DO NOT CALL a number back that you don't recognize - especially one from outside the continental USA. Even bill collectors are required to do something to let you verify their call - like leave a genuine voice message. Legitimate callers respond when you say "hello," but any caller could be a bad guy wanting to harm you in some way, so you must be careful. It is probably better to erase and block the number if you don't recognize it - just like I am doing now. Whoever it was had a chance to talk to me and it failed - my time and safety is worth more than that. Hang up or don't answer if you are in doubt.
