Computer message say their will be criminal charges filed against me I called person hung up.

Recorded message claims to be Amazon checking on fraudulent charge.

This was a call from an employee of "Merchants," the company that handles fraudulent charges for my credit union debit card. I determined that the call back number he gave was legit, after calling my credit union. There was in fact a problematic charge on my card. So, this call was not spam or phishing but legitimate.
