I told him never to call my number again and hung up the phone. WOW! YOU TOLD HIM!

The caller announced the reason for the call was to reduce the interest I was paying on my credit card. He wanted the last 12 numbers on the card so he could fix my rate at 6%. I was suspicious from the beginning so I gave him a phony expiration date and he bit, telling me I hadn't missed any payments and I had always paid on time for at least the last 6 months! He also said I owed over 3 thousand $ which was inaccurate. At that time I told him he was a scam artist and should be prosecuted. I told him never to call my number again and hung up the phone.

Trying to get me to sign up for a free phone

Caller: Qlink wireless

Called home number this morning at 7:32AM with Indian/Pakastani accent and said my name. I asked if he was aware of telemarketing laws of the United States that they are not allowed to call before 8:00AM in my time zone. He said he is not a telemarketer and is allowed to call before 8am. He said he is a engineer who is trying to solve problems from the internet server at my house. I told him that I have no server here. But he continued to try to convince me that he is not a telemarketer and can fix my computer problems that I will not be able to solve myself. I told him that I have to go to work and I can call back later. He said he will call me later. I said I can call you back and "Have a good day" and hung up. So I looked this up and wow reading all this confirms what I suspected of a scam. I took a picture of my caller ID and will send that to the FTC scam reporting system.

539-555-0145

They called me 5 times today within 3 hours so I figured it was either a scam or political automated call. I tried to call the # back and it said the call couldn't be completed as dialed. So when they called back just now I answered. They said "Hello ma'am how are you today?" I asked why they are calling and they said they are with the Windows Operating System Data Base and for the last several days they have been receiving 'errors' from my home computer.

I asked them how they got my number and they said 'from the Windows Database'. I listened to her attempt to speak English for about another minute then I cut her off and said "What if I told you I don't have a home computer?" She said "then what do you have?" I replied "I don't have a computer at home"

Then....get this...she said "then why are you wasting my time?!" I replied....I'm not the one wasting your time...you are the one who has called me 5 times today...she then I'm assuming cussed me out (not sure because it was not in English) and proceeded to hang up on me.

Hilarious!!

Scam! They are trying to hack your computer. Put them on the speaker phone and just keeping asking them to repeat themselves, go about your day as you can, make a game of it and frustrate them. And spread the word of this very annoying scam.

Caller: 539-555-0145

They started at my house today, Ignored most of them like I always do but after like 5 or 6 I tried to answer. Noone was there, can we figure out a way to electronically nuke their entire phone system? LOL

Caller: 1-539-555-0145

I have received 5 calls from this number today (1/18/16). I answered the first 2, but as soon as I did the call disconnected.

I too got several calls from these Indian accent people, telling me that I had malware on my Microsoft programs making me vulnerable to identity theft and that I should get on my computer and they will walk me through removing it for a small fee. SCAM

I just got the same call. Phone number 539.555.0145. Foreign accent maybe Indian or Middle Eastern Woman. Calling about my computer. I hung up.

Tiffany from cardholder services

Hangs up when answered.

Caller: Unknown

It's the old "lower your interest rate" scam. This time it's Tiffany instead of the usual Rachel, but it's the same deal: if you're dupe enough to give them your credit card number they'll "service" you (like a bull services a cow).
I usually like to yank their chain a little but they said I was caller number 23 and I have no patience for this game.
I just hope the others were also going to diddle with them and not actually get hooked. ...

Martha, I hope you're right and the feds stick it to 'em good!
