Lookup says Canada but person who I talked to sounded Asian in a call center with lots of background noise and people talking. Text said my card was charged $799.00 for a sofa and it didn't say which card or who they are. When I called their return number (855) 336-6299 I asked who they are and the girl said Amazon customer care (not). I hung up.
This is Microsoft IT calling about your computer. "What is wrong with my comouter?" They hung up.

yes this is a scam call ... i suspect your call was for a canadian internet supplier .... if so contact the supplier and let them know as well ... so they can track down who from there call center passed out personal information to them ...

i had a similar call and several accounts with the supplier NONE in arrears ... also I helped the fraud call help list the company uses as I used to work there and KNOW they dont call out they email the account ON their account page ... the supplier was informed and will be following up also the RCMP fraud division have also been contacted ...
