I took the call as it was from my businesses area code. When I answered, there was silence, then a voice said "thank you for calling. Your call will be answered in the order it was received." Then it hung up.

Received an unwanted spam & fake text message Stating:- ‘BREAKING: Dems win special election in Texas, narrowing Republicans majority.

Tricking people through text messages from their a phishing website.

I didn't answer. I have received 3 of these type calls in the last two days with exact area code and first three numbers. Weird mechanical sound is all that was on voicemail. Blocked all three.

No voicemail, just some weird feedback noise. I've gotten two like that, already blocked them both, similar numbers.

Just yesterday, I told them I'd be in touch with them. First thing this morning, they're calling back!
