Calling to verify attempted purchase of Chromebook from Amazon.

Called claiming to be from Amazon verifying whether I attempted to purchase a Chromebook. I said no and how do I know she is from Amazon? She said call Amazon and ask for her. I called Amazon. They told me they don't make these type of calls!
