If they are a collection agency and want to contact people, I’d suggest they pay a little extra to have their number NOT come up as “Likely Spam” on caller ID, or at the very least, be courteous and leave a voicemail for the person to call them back.

They still haven't learned, no message.

They call every day at least once, sometimes twice. As it takes me a few minutes to get to my phone it usually goes to voice mail, which I may add they never leave a message. Talk about stupid.

Idiots that they are never leave a message and as it takes me a few minutes to get to the phone they are gone.

Don’t ignore it because if they can’t get answer from you they’ll call your employer to talk to you

Ils a collection agency, Check your credit report and you’ll see AIC with one of your credit card… so pay it… people who are upset, they don’t want to say it so sorry you owing, life is not free, you took a credit card so you need to pay it

Collections agencies in Canada have a statute of limitations to sue. It's 2 yrs from last payment. This is very relevant for Ontario residents. Tell them the time has passed and it's over. If they threaten you're wrong and try to sue you..just state statute of limitations in defence with last payment date. If you speak to them or make a payment the clock resets. I think it should be illegal to buy debts as they pay pennies on the dollar, yet demand large amounts without any contract with these collectors. They become 3rd party thugs and the laws need to change. They should not be allowed to profit off accounts written off by original contract being closed. Write to your government legislation. Get these thugs shut down.

Scam!!! Collection agency trying to collect on debts from 10+ years ago! Way too late, depending on where you live, debts have a statute of limitations, usually 5-7 years after the last payment was made (or since the last time the debtor acknowledged the debt). These agencies neglect to inform people that beyond that time frame, the debt is no longer valid and they have no right to continue making harassing phone calls and idle threats in an attemt to collect on an expired debt.
Anyway, you can't get blood from a stone and as far as I know, there are no 'debtors prisons'.

Spam. Calls every day with silence. Blocking, now. 10 calls in 5 days with no one on the line.

This is a collection agency. AIC is the name of it. It's hard to get anyone to answer but when you do, they are very rude and condescending. So be prepared. You have to call them back to get them to stop calling. It's old collection accounts. So even if you've have your phone number for awhile, it could easily be someone who gave them number on an application YEARS ago. (08/02/2016)

Allied International Credit: first they called from 877-451-2610. When I answered, no one was there. Less than a minute later, they called from 905-480-2665, asking to speak with Heather Bradley. I told them no, because no one by that name is at our number. They then asked me why she would put our number down. I replied that I don't know since we've had our number for almost 8 years, so either they dialed the wrong number, or it was given to them wrong. Then they hung up. I did a bit of digging and discovered the connection between the numbers: the first is an international number, the second is Newmarket, ON, Canada. looks like they robo-call first to see if someone answers, then they live-call. New scheme...I've called both numbers, and (surprise, surprise) cannot reach a live person. I've looked up our rights under Ontario laws, and I really hope they don't try to make an issue of this. We are not this Heather Bradley, nor do we know her.

They leave message saying they are one thing then when you call back they say something else.
