Called me and asked if I recognized an $800 charge from Target in Miami. I said no and they said they would close down my card and expedite me a new one. Then they said they were sending me to the automated system to confirm my info for the event. The automated system asked for my credit card number WHICH WAS SUSPICIOUS so I just hung up. Then, they called right back and said I didn't put in my info into the automated system and they would retransfer me to it, I said "no, I'll just put it in through the Paypal website" and they hung up on me. It was a sophisticated phishing scam

Said they were from “PayPal Credit”. I’m retired law enforcement and immediately realized it was a scam. Besides that, I don’t have a “PayPal Credit” account. Hope this helps someone.

This number claims your grown child is in need of contacting them to take care of a business matter on their paypal credit account. It's a scam for sure - do not give them ANY information or even if you know that name of the person they are calling about! Block them or They don't quit!

Called and said it was Paypal Credit calling for - using an old friend's name, a FB friend - but who otherwise I have had no contact with for several years. She is from a city about 200 miles away. I can't imagine how they would have an association of my phone number with her name.
