This is not BMO Harris Bank. Caller said her name was Anna. She wanted to verify my credit card information and also asked me for my social security number (which I did not give). She said that my payment was delinquent which was not true.

just received a call said they were BMO important message, unfortunately I gave them my SSN. SCAM SCAM

My message said, "call VENMO at 866-618-8686"

IJUST GOT A CALL FROM THEM - MY BANK JUST CHANGED OVER TO BMO SO I WAS A LITTLE CONCERNED. THEY SAID THEY HAD AN IMPORTANT MATTER TO DISCUSS WITH ME. GLAD I SAW THESE COMMENTS - THIS NUMBER IS NOW BLOCKED.

Caller: BMO

I received 2 voicemails from this number claiming to be BMO calling about suspicious activity on my card. I called the phone # they said to call (it was on the back of my credit card and it was the same number they said to call) ... waited 20 minutes to speak to a customer service rep. When I did, she had to transfer me to a colleague because she couldn't see my accounts and transactions. I waited another 20 minutes and hung up in frustration. DISGUSTING SERVICE. You should be ashamed of yourself, BMO. I checked my accounts and don't see any suspicious activities. BMO makes more money than God and should hire more people to answer when they ask us to call in about fraud concerns. Horrible.

Ghosting the bank wanting to know if charges are recognized

Caller: Harris Bank

They have been calling my phone for weeks now. I finally answered but paused for a moment before saying hello. It immediately hung up on me so I'm sure I just registered my number in their database as a real person.

they called me too. they want ss # . no way.

I’ve been getting the calls from this number 1-888-618-8686 for a few days now also ans haven’t answered it. Just goes to voice mail, but ya, same thing. Recorded msg saying “This is an important call from BMO Harris Bank, please call… bla bla bla. And I don’t even bank with BMO Harris!!

They have been calling my phone now every day for 2 weeks. Telling me it's an important that I returned the call. So I called just to see, It's a foreign person of course. First thing he wants is my
SS# not my name or anything else. I told him where to go

Caller: BMO Bank

says from BMO Harris Bank but is spam

Yes I received a call today. Then my daughter called me to say it a fraud on a prepaid Master Card that she had purchased. They cancelled the card. My telephone number was on as a reference on her bank file, True call.

BMO Harris Bank is definitely a weird company in the way they handle their fraud communications. Twice they couldn't verify my id. The first time they said they'd call me back within 48-72 hours but did'nt, The second time they said they'd call me back to verify my number and did, but then said would have to turn it over to the team and call me back. 2 hrs. later they left a msg to call them back.

I just got the voicemail, and called them back. This is completely legit. They don't list the number on the website because it is only given out when there is a fraud concern. I am skeptical that the people who are claiming this is a scam ever actually investigated at all. They just made an assumption, and posted their uninformed opinions.

Definitely fraud. I called BMO fraud department and they had never called me.
Scam!

E-mail to call this number stating I ordered 10 subscriptions for Norton, billing address is at 1828 Huntz Massachusetts. Whole north/south distance from where I live. Cost 610.79. They right after this came through it stated that Nettie Briggs was the seller. This is the number to their fraud protection team. You guessed it....it don't work.

Definitely legit. Happened to me when I tried to do some online shopping (over $800) at a site for the first time.

Caller: BMO

Asked for card number not with an automated service!
Scammer

Asked for full name and card no.( The card is locked ) Said it was BMO fraud dept.

They are legit. Sent me a notification because I had an error during a payment. A little annoying needing to call them but, they were just looking out for me.

Caller: BMO Fraud Centre

Totally a scam. Called the number on the back of my card and they told me it was not BMO calling me.

Same - 2 text messages claiming my PNC Bank account has been restricted.

Same thing -except mine said BMO Harris Bank

I moved on the same street and they found it fishy so they called me. I used the number on the back of my card to call them and they asked if I was calling about a notification I had received from them by phone. So yes, totally legit!

Got three text messages from this number claiming three different accounts at a bank where I haven’t banked for nearly twenty years is restricted. Ummmmm. Sure.
