SPOOFED - dont waste your time

This isn't a scam. This is the number for the Hertz Vehicle Overdue department. My aunt was getting calls from them saying she had a vehicle overdue. It was her insurance rental that wasn't fixed. They said if she didn't address it they would take legal action.

I declined to give information over the phone for insurance. I just got uncomfortable. My phone immediately started ringing off the hook. They won't leave me alone.

if this is not a scam, how come this number keeps calling my phone?? i have NEVER had Geico insurance. In addition, i have not been in an accident with any other driver that would have Geico. They have no business calling my phone

This is NOT a scam! I work for Geico and Our customer service number is 1-800-841-3000. Geico since pandemic now has outcall teams that makes phone calls to our Policy Holders regarding serious info regarding their policy. We can call from 8am-9pm! Again this isn't a scam!! There are real Geico insurance agents calling out to policy Holders.

I've never heard of cold call home and auto insurance, yet here it is.

It’s legit. Called Geico from the app and they stated it’s common for workers to work remotely so the number is different. More than likely working from home. Do research people before putting out false info🙄

800 841 3000 call my phone at 8pm- left message referencing my previous last name said to call them back regarding discounta Im not getting. Looked up the number and saw ita spam, even have law offices saying its spam number. Geico never calls this late for any reason. Beware!

I got a call from this number today, saying they were GEICO calling about my car accident and giving a date, which was a date I filed a claim for no damage. The claim had been closed the next day as I was preempting a damage claim by the person I rolled into. Besides, GEICO knows better than to call my phone. I've requested all contact by email because you cant trust anyone and I want a paper trail.

This number is literally listed on the official geico website. It’s legit.

I was involved in an accident two days ago, and am insured with Geico, but this is not a number that I've used to reach them or them me. I missed the call and found this when I searched for the number that I didn't recognize, as I know any legitimate business should have their number listed online somewhere - glad that I searched for it first! Also, they did not leave a voice message.

My parents got a call from 1-800-841-3000 "geico car insurance" asking to talk to me regarding the car accident I was in the day before. (I have not lived there for over 13 years.) The caller ID shows it Geico and when the number is called back a message came on saying you have reached Geico. I don't have Geico insurance and I was not in a car accident yesterday. Thank goodness my parents did not have a heart attack and they were smart enough not to give any of my info to them.

Said to be Hertz Rental. rental is overdue & to call back with this ref #. definitely a scam.
