Unrecognized Prank caller caller id identified as debt collector

Say they represent HSC Houston West Hospital. Already a scam alert out on them. They call to try to get your direct deposit information.

They call daily after hours, goes straight to voicemail, automated robocall message, filed a complaint with FDCPA, CFPB. SPAM, I owe nothing. The call says they are a debt collector Medicredit calling from a hospital about a debt I owe.

This number called me. 540-823-2318. First of all, I do not have any outstanding bills. I did not answer and I know it's a scam. My id said medicredit,inc.

Spam

Got hounded by calls from this number and left voicemails (all robot voices) saying that I have a medical debt. After being hounded for a month with these robo calls, I looked up their physical address and sent a formal letter stating that they may no longer call me to contact me and they have provided NO PROOF of debt - and IF there was proof, to only contact me via USPS mail. Ever since that letter was mailed I have not gotten one phone call and no response in the mail - my credit score has not changed so I only assume that I was correct in saying that there was no proof of debt. Did the lender check the borrower's info (address and phone#) before lending out $. If not, the creditor deserves the default.
