This rude mf called my phone about a check from 15 years ago...the statute of limitations is well ran out on this one. SCAM!

"Tony Johnson" called everyone in my family besides my mother, the one he needed to speak to..even called my dad and they've been divorced for 18 years. He told my dad that he was a PI..my mom called and he told her that it was about a check she wrote in 2001 for $100 and she needed to pay $700 now to resolve it. When I called him back to find out who he worked for, he told me my mother was "trifling".. We also live in Alabama

Received a voice mail from this caller, saying he was a special Investigator trying to get in touch with my mother. Would not leave any details about the nature of the call, nor has he tried to reach out to my mother. Seems like a scam. I too also live in Alabama, and found this was from New Jersey.

My mother-in-law just called me & told me that I got a call from this same guy Tony Johnson, same number & he was vague....said he was a special investigator....& he asked for me by my ex-husband's last name....has not been my name for 12yrs. We Googled before we did anything & came across your posts....definitely not calling him back. Thanks for posting!! Oh, FYI...I live in Alabama, always have....& his 201 area code is New Jersey.

Yes said i had a bad check 16yrs ago at a windixie for 18.00. Think its BS.. wants me to give him my check card or credit card info for 267.00. Yes his name was tony. But i didn't have any bad checks. Scam?
