House phone rings, I answer. An automated message say it’s PSE&G and they can lower my bill if I press a number, I pressed the number and asked to be removed because I don’t even have PSE&G – the guy (Middle Eastern or Indian) says, “Sorry…can’t do that.” And then hangs up. At this point I know it’s a scam so I call back and then get a different recording. It now says because of a website I’ve recently visited I’m eligible to win a $100 gift car if I press a number. So again, I press the number and I told the guy I knew it was a scam I reported it to the police (which I didn’t at that point), and to REMOVE MY NUMBER!!! I hang up and then this guy has the nerve to call my home phone back! I answer and said yes? And he said, “Yes…. You said you called the police *laughter* I’d like to see what they’re going to do.” That’s when I lost it. I’m a Jersey girl – we don’t take too nicely to threats so I lost it a bit and told him what I thought of him and where I thought he should go. Unfortunately, the number is not “listed” according to the do not call registry when I tried filing a complaint. SO my co-worker’s husband works for the state police and I called him and he’s going to trace the number for me. Hopefully this will be one less idiot calling.

Tried to give me a $100 gift card
Said they could discount my electric bill but i refused to talk to them. The initial call came to all PSE&G customers, we are gas customers, then if you are click 5. Talked to Sebastian said he worked for Starigon or Starion but confirmed we are JCPL electric customers and said he represented JCP&L a clear lie. Do not give him your gas or electric account #, which they can use to auto switch your account. If you do give them your account you will receive a letter from PSE&G or JCPL at which point you can then cancel the transaction. The first bill will be discounted but then they will jack up your rate well above the actual utility rate.
these scam call are such a waste of everyone's time, and time is money. How do the callers benefit? Most folks don't answer unknown calls on their cell.
