They claimed to be calling from the US government and said i was selected to receive a $9000 grant because I paid my bills on time was working and had no criminal record. when confronted about being a scam the caller replied i am not forcing oyu to take the grant. calls back to the number ring and then has an automated number stating "the person you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time. message 19 switch 753"

Caller stated (in a thick indian accent) I won a $9000 grant from government and did not have to repay loan and wanted to know if I was excited. I said not really because this is a fake call and they hung up on me.

The heavily accented caller whose English was barely understandable stated he was calling on behalf of the United State's Governments Federal Grant Office to alert me I had been selected for a $9000 grant, which would cost me nothing. he wanted me to confirm my banking information to make the transfer. I believe this is a scam using a cloned or off shore number. If there is a way to block these spoofed calls, please include information on your website.

Said i won $9000 for good credit and the IRS does this to a select few people. They said it's a once in a lifetime event. Asked for bank info, told them i don't have a checking or savings account (I really do have one) and they hung up.

The caller said I had been approved for $9000 in U.S. government grants (which I had not submitted for). The caller had a heavy West African accent. My caller ID only provided the number.
