Robocall in a female voice from "Department of Treasury Internal Revenue Service." Says a lawsuit is about to be filed against you. Asks to call back same number "you or your retained attorney of record." (Note that you have no attorney of record until AFTER the suit is filed.) Called back (I happen to be an attorney), and there was no answer. Interestingly, if you block your number from caller ID recognition (*67), the number will not accept your call at all.
They called and had a foreign accent, it sounds like a boiler room in the background, This is a scam, the IRS never, never, calls you on the phone. They always send a letter, and you will always have a local number to call, not some place in India.
Recording of IRS is filling a lawsuit. Return call to same # with attorney.
Looked up phone info
1. A wireless ATT number
2. Origin of number is a Navy Ship Yard.
Sounds like a hijacked number.
I did NOT return call.
