The recording was left on my cell phone answering machine and it stated that there was an arrest warrant out for me and I needed to call their number immediately to stop further action. Yes this is a scram, heard about it on the news. Didn't answer.
Irs. Scam. Have warrant for my arrest.
I also received this automated message from (202) 239-0497 - female voice stating:
"IRS & there is a non-bailable arrest warrant issued under your name so before we move forward with the lawsuit & legal allegations..."
I would think if an arrest warrant was already issued they would have provided that number as a reference when calling back. And like everyone else has stated they would included my name in the message; every other recorded message I get - even from telemarketers - include my name!
Posed as IRS, indicated I was going to be sued, claimed there was a warrant issued for my arrest. Total scam, automated female voice.
They are nothing but thieves who scam those who feel threatened by the recording. Think people, if a caller threatens you, they should at least use your name. Hard to be by threatened by some one if they do not even know your name. This is a scam by people with no respect for themselves, much less anyone else.
