They called my place of employment and knew to ask for me. He said they were from the Department of Treasury, Office of Inspector General. He said they wanted to hear from me before they decided to prosecute. None of it made any sense. He barely spoke English, and had great difficulty saying "Office of Inspector General."

Just called me. Caller ID gave name as John Neff...202-241-0131 needed to speak to the Dr I work for concerning a federal emergency...yeah right, had middle eastern or indian accent.

Called me, so ridiculous that anyone would believe there is legal persecution pending having not received any noticed via mail THE IRS DOES NOT CALL FROM WASHINGTON DC! If anyone were to call, it would ne a local representative. I feel so sorry for the elderly who might be scammed by this.

A guy with an East Indian accent (I think) called and said I'm under investigation by the federal gov't. I told him I didn't believe him. He said that they had sent notification to me by mail. I asked if he could send it again and he said that is not possible and that the next contact they have w/me will be by my local police.

Yep, SCAM. I called back and it said "The Magic Jack customer you have called is unavailable...." LOL, idiots. They called a business line with an automated message of this so-called IRS lie. Folk got nerves.

I received a call stating that there were a warrant for my arrest from the IRS to be filed if I did not contact them in 24 hours. When I called back the number from my office number, an "Investigator Peter Johnson from the IRS" picked up. He wanted me to verify what number "they had called me on" I told him I was going to do some research at this moment to see if it was a scam. He choose to stay on the phone while I searched google. Once I reviewed the information on the internet I told him he was a scam and hung up the phone with him.

Automated message claims to be IRS. claims several negative actions against me. Threatens my apprehension by local law enforcement if I do not respond asap. When called back heavily accented gentleman on recording asks caller to leave message with name and number (but I thought I called the IRS? No one there to put me on hold or answer at all? YEAH RIGHT!!!). Obvious scam!!!
