"Officer Jack Peterson" called and said that they were attempting to collect a debt and then transfered me to a senior officer. The senior officer tried to get me to verify personal information. He tried to tell me he would call my work and have me fired for theft of a payday loan. I filed a police report. I believe this to be fraud I encourage anyone who this guy calls to report it to your local police and put a flag on your credit report in case they try to steal your identity.
I received a call from this number, the caller stated they were an officer Liz Taylor from the Food & Drug Administration telling me they confiscated a package with my information on it, and did I know it was illegal to order drugs online. I told her I didn't know what she was talking about and if the FDA had any problems with me I would expect them to contact me in writing. She said "no maam we will proceed with arrest." I said "ok" . I don't know who these people are, but I did not believe Liz Taylor worked for the FDA.
He called my company asking for an employee, I informed him if was calling for collections he is not allowed to call here. If he really needed to speak to the person he should call him at home not work.
(we are a production co., employees cannot take personal calls). He started to ask me if I did not take him seriously, I again informed him not to call here again and hung up on him. He was saying he was Jack Peterson from Jack Peterson Law Firm, thick accent and extremly rude, so I was rude right back. I figured if my employee was dealing with a law firm it would be from MN not another state all together.
Someone with a thick accent called our toll-free number saying they are Ofcr. Kevin Anderson asking for (unintelligle). They asked that the person call this number back. Reverse lookup shows a landline in Washington DC.
'Officer Jack Peterson' of the "United Financial Crime Dept'. called telling me this is the last day for me to pay for an outstanding payday loan. He was trying to 'verify' my Social Security Number by giving me what he thought were the last four digits and asking me to complete the rest....
He left a message stating that the U.S. Govt' would put my SSN on 'hold' if I did not clear this up today....So I cleared it up by calling the local branch of the FBI and reporting the attempted fraud....
Do not answer this number or call back. DO report it to your local FBI branch in hopes that eventually this person will be tracked down and prosecuted for HIS crimes!
