I received a call yesterday the 28th of August from a heavily accented indian voice also. I asked to speak to someone else that I might be able to understand better. They transferred me to a lady named Caroline. They said they were from the US Treasury Dept and that I had been selected along with 1700 people in the US to receive a free 9,000.00 grant from the US government tax free. They said that I could have them deposit it into my bank or put it on a credit card. I told them that I would never give out that info over the phone and that I was suspicious it was a scam. They insisted that it wasn't a scam and said that they would call me back. I reported them to the FTC.

Received call from this number but did not answer. I do not answer calls from any number I do not know.

Indian accent seemed fake, requested checking account information and stated that i qualified for a grant because i submitted a survey. he tried to lead me to a website, www.federalgovtgrantdept.com which sent up red flags everywhere. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!
