They called stated it was a call from the us government grant department . and only 1500 people were chosen and I was one of them. And I was approved for a 6,000 grant for ANYTHING I chose to do with it. After I enlighten the guy I k ew it was a scam and was going to report them he proceeded to cuss me out..

They called to "offer" me a free government grant if I agreed to send the $220.00 in return. When I enlighten them that I knee it was a scam the guy got mad and cussed me out..

This will happen usually when you apply for a grant from the government for school, these annoying people get your basic info and try to get money. If they were legit, they would first contact you by email or by letter with plenty of information. Block their number and they just generate a new one. I hope by ignoring enough calls they go away?? Haha

Alos called me from 202-000-1111 Same people - same claims. I asked them what number they called and they stated it was an internet call - so they don't actually dial a number. I have my cell number, and I also have my vonage number forwarded to my cell - that is why asked which number they dialed.

I received several calls today. A Bryant with a very bad accent told me I was awarded a grant money ($6,700.00). He was able to give me my address and that since I didn't give my bank info they were going to send me a cashiers check. Lol! how generous of the government!! Ah, NOT..

some lady with bad accent said I WAS GETTING GRANT MONEY.i played along. Never gave any bank info. I knew it was a scam. she gave me this phone number to call back,696-805-908, now you tell me whats wrong with this number? these people need to get a life.

Told me I was getting a grant of $1700 for free with a bad accent. Then asked for my bank details. When I said this didn't sound legit. She told me "f**k you" and hung up on me.

Called the hose around 5:15 PM.
Wife told him he needed tom speak better English so she could understand him and hung up.

This number keep calling me, and when I call back it states the number is not in service.
