I have got a call from them 3 time this morning and I don't answer the message is the same to call this number but they don't say who they are or what they want.
I got this call and they are trying to get my bank account infromation
Husband got a "digital" synthesised voicemail that said there was some kind of tax issue and that he needed to call (202)407-9799. I called since I do the financial stuff at our house. They wouldn't talk to me unless he was around...or gave them permission. They said it's something to so with tax evasion. But it sounded fishy. It was really weird. They didn't speak English very well which isn't always a problem necessarily and it just seemed strange. There was no hold time. There weren't any automated recordings or menus to clock through. There was no hold music. Their answers were less than informative. They didn't ask for any information except his hubby's phone number. They had his city wrong. Something just didn't sound right. So I called back and got the SAME GUY!! I asked to talk to someone else, so I got transferred. No hold music. No transfer lag time. Then another non-English speaking man came on. First guy was "Officer Brown" and the second guy was "Officer Diaz." Then I find this website... Whew! I am so glad we didn't give any information.
Number was from 2024079799 very close to others stating a fraud was detected on my tax return and I was hiding information from the government! Synthesized voicemail. No names stated. Believe to be a scam! !! Phone acted up right after voice mail
I received a call from this number stating they were the IRS they had filed a lawsuit against me and to call this number immediately. The caller was a synthesized human female voice and not a real person.

I got the same exact call - I didn't answer but they left the synthesized message
