They keep calling me saying that I owe back taxes. The FBI is watching my house and they will detain me in three days if I don't pay. Then they want a bank account number. I told them it was impossible for me to owe back taxes when I am still waiting on my tax REFUND that was held up due to identity theft that affected my husband. I told the guy that if he was IRS, he should know that the IRS owes us our refund plus back interest. Then I told him to sent he FBI on over, I had a pot of coffee and some donuts ready for them. The guy cussed, then hung up. I tried to immediately call the number back and it goes to an out of order signal or busy signal.

Caller: not sure, sounded like a Pakisani male accent

Yep, called at 5:30 in the morning called them back and the same thing! Bullshit.

Here's a tip for dealing with scammers. Keep a very loud whistle or air horn beside your phone. When you receive a call or call back and actually get a live person on the line, blast them.

Got a call from this number and reported it to the BBB and phone company - police gave me another number to call but, never got a call back. When I returned the call to the 202-446-6041 I got heavy breathing and moaning sounds with lots of background noise. It's not a very funny game they are playing as I'm also a caretaker to a 92 year old who was very upset about this. We are also on the DO NOT CALL LIST which doesn't work at all.

I cIalled them back and said this is officer Whitdale with the FBI and I want to talk to the person in charge. Strangely they hung up on me. I think someone else should call them back and ask whoever answers, sir or miss how do you know the victim.lol

Another scam. Call them back to find out more info on the lawsuit the IRS is filing against you. NOT!!!

Got this call as well. Immediately went to IRS website and that informs you to call your local office. New it was a scam immediately

Also received VM saying I had a lawsuit filed against me from the IRS. Received call on my cell phone and called back on my work phone. Answered by someone with very thick accent and lost of background noise. Answered as IRS...pretty sure the IRS would answer as Internal Revenue Service or have some automated line to call and press a billion buttons :)

I received a call from this number. I called back immediately. A man with a thick ME accent (first clue)answered, and when I asked if this was a scam he started to yell at me. Buh bye crazy . You gave me my answer.

I received two messages from this number a woman (automated) stating IRS filing a lawsuit against me and to call back ASAP. I haven't returned the call nor will I.

They called and left a message that I had a law suit being filed against me. I called back and it was an Indian guy who said his name was Officer somebody and asked for my first and last name, which I did not give. I just hung up.
