I recognized it as a fraud immediately and told the guy I was reporting him....I didn't even give him a chance to tell me why he was calling. The IRS usually reaches out to you with correspondence first. Reporting and blocking calls from this number

Same has happened to me today...Call claiming to be the IRS filing a lawsuit against me and left a voicemail for me to call them to resolve the issue. I even answered the call and was told same thing by a computerized voice machine.

I have had several calls from this number also. Also claiming that I misrepresented my income tax and they are filing a claim against me.

Received that same call stating that the IRS is filling a law suit against me. They've called me 4x today

They have called me 3 times today. I called back and was told the same as one of the other commenters...I misrepresented my income on my taxes. I am retired. The man (foreign accent) said if I sent $7862 the matter would be resolved. I said my lawyer would contact them. The man quickly hung up

same as lawmandy above....I called back and they claim I misrepresented my income on tax returns....I am retired. I could have resolved the whole thing per this person on the phone by sending $7000 When I told him I would have to have my lawyer call him to get the details he very quickly hung up

I received a similar call this morning from a law firm represented by Gary Stevens. It was hard to understand the person on the other line. They said a letter came in the mail notifying me of delinquent taxes. They could not tell me who signed for the letter which raised my suspicion.

Call claiming to be the IRS filing a lawsuit against me and left a voicemail for me to call them to resolve the issue. I know these calls are scams, as the IRS doesn't contact you over the phone.
