(202) 470-1079

Received a phone call from (202) 470-1079 this morning and answered to receive an automatic recording saying this was the IRS and there were several charges filed against me for my tax filing. I have 24 hours to respond or the local police will take me into custody. Never stated a name of who was calling (as in the robot voice calling me) or who they were calling for. So, I called them back right away since the number they said to call was (202) 470-1079, the same number they called on. A lady answers the phone, says her name is Karen Jones (I had her spell it to make sure I got it right) and that she's with the IRS Crime Investigation Department. I said that's fantastic, I just received a call from this number and wanted to know who it was. She apparently did not like my response (what did I say?) and immediately hung up on me. Tried calling back a few times, now Karen won't take my calls. Sad days...all I wanted was to get to know a scammer.
