Called me saying I was owed 2,000 and something bucks. I googled the number to find out its a scammers. Please find these dummies thats calling people cell phones. Thanks!

Call me saying that I was owed money.

An automated female voice called-up my number at 206-337-0648 on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 8:48 PM from 202-499-1627. The message read; "As a measure of security, we require you to call our department for verification on 202-499-1627. I repeat, it's 202-499-1627 Your refund will be credited to your account once we verify your credentials. Thank you and goodbye!"

I was told that I was owed $2,173 also and had to pay $198 and pay first by getting a green dot card and in 2 hours they will put the money in my bank account, I asked if they can take the money out of what is owed and the man (a foreigner) told me that it could not work that way. scamers, I am glad that I took the time out to do some research.

Fake IRS call about $1273 refund but had to pay $150 and s.s.# to get the refund. I asked for her badge # and I was hung-up on. You can report this scam to Phishing@IRS.gov this also includes suspect IRS websites and faxes.
