The calls are always about lowering the interest rate on my credit card. One time I played along to see what they were getting at and basically they are trying to get people to give the SSN or their account information which I never did.

The call starts out This is Card Services and explains that everything is okay with my account but I qualify to have my interest rates reduced on my credit card.

Recording asks if having credit card debt, promising to reduce interest rates to 6.2%. Then a woman answers and I tried to asked how she got my phone number and she hangs up.

Rachel from Card Services. They hack other phone numbers, so it doesn't surprise me that this number had previously been used for political spam. You can't call this number back, either-- you can only be connected to their calling center, which is a totally different number. Outgoing robo-calls are made on throw-away cells.

I won't answer phone when this number calls my cell. They leave a voicemail and it states that it's a public service call and they will call back.
