Called and said my computer was being compromised. I asked how they knew? He said there have been several incidences over the last 4-5 months. But THEY could fix it. I asked what it would cost? And he said if there were a lot of problems $100-$200 but they offer a lifetime guarantee. I told them when I look up his telephone # - there are many reports that they are scammers. He said they are not and he doesn't want my money... just wants to show me the problems on my computer. I said I don't trust him and that he's wasting my time. He thanked me and wished me a Merry Christmas.
The 202 #called claiming to be Microsoft technical support & that my IP address has been stolen and my passwords & bank account information was being stolen. I've used Microsoft since it existed and they never called me ever so immediately I knew it was a scam. I told him I wasn't near my computer. I asked him what info he needed from me. He said none, he just needs to tell me how to fix it. I asked for his number so I could call when I got home . He gave me this # 825-618-2413, which isn't even close to the # he called from. I looked up that # & came up empty, but I google the number he called from and I find this & while I'm writing this he tried to call back. Definitely a scam. I've been informed that like the IRS, Microsoft doesn't call customers.
calls about loans
Calls everyday i told them take me off the list 100times. I have no idea why they call
I knew as soon as she said she was calling from Microsoft. I laughed at her and told her to get a life & hung up on her.
