Yup, same call. Officer blah blah blah with the IRS notifying me that there is a warrent out for my arrest regarding some tax issue. Really bad English - sadly this does happen sometimes, so I'm glad to have found this site to confirm what I told the guy "I think this is a scam and I'm going to hang up now. Don't call me back."
I received the same call. They must have left 4 messages on my answering machine in the last week. I may be a senior, but I'm not stupid.
just got the same call, he tried to do a conference call with the IRS to verify his connection with them. When I wouldn't give him my info he said the sheriff would be at my door in an hour to serve me a warrant and take me to jail for 72 hours. Even though they couldn't find me for the last 9 months.
It was great! IRS, with impossibly lousy English!! I asked how much I owed, he said $989!! Lol. I played with him for a bit, then he called me a " mudda fukkah"!! Awesome!
Apparently some robot from the "IRS" wants me to call em back Lol...scammers....I reported number to the real IRS..all the info on how to report these crooks is on the IRS government website.. .BEWARE! And let's get them!
