I also got a call saying it's the grant department, they said I was approved for $4,820 and because I'm school and that's almost the exact amount I was approved for I thought it was real at first but in order to get my money they need me to pay $2.99 with my credit card... Last time I checked, money from the government goes straight to the school & you don't need to give your credit card # to recieve it!!

I got a call from 714-929-8215 indicating that I am eligible for $10,200 grants. The gave me a confirmation number and I needed to contact 202-621-0572 to claim the money. The background sounded like they were calling from their houses with Indian accent. So I contacted 202 area code number and they said that I needed to go to Money gram to start the process for releasing the money. FBI should be notified so they can stop these people. I contacted grants.gov which is the official federal government grant website and in the menu they ask you to press 3 for Fraud, then it tells you to go to www.consumeraction.gov.

She should be taken over the federal authorities for fraud and manipulation regarding federal government grants.
