Got one today. Didn't answer, but was intrigued by the "us treasury dept" on the caller id. Looked up the phone # and found this page. Kudos everycaller.com. Thank you for protecting us from the millions of sociopaths out there! You should make an app for smartphones...

I just got a call saying I hadn't been responding to letters they sent to me. Both men I spoke with, first Edward and then Jack (couldn't understand their last names) were obviously Indian. Caller ID showed US Treasury Department with 2026223000 as the number. I zoned out while the second guy was talking to me because I was looking up the number. When he was done talking, he asked if I had any questions, and I said "Yeah, who do you REALLY work for?" He said US Department of Treasury, and I said I looked him up and it's a scam, but nice try, and hung up.

I just rec'd a call from this number also. The caller ID said Dept of Treasury 202-622-3000. The guy clearly was from India. I had heard that they can make their caller ID say anything they want. He gave my first name. When he began to tell me about the charge that has already been filed against me, I told him to send it to me by mail and hung up on him.

1-202-622-300 called me and posed as a Tax Agent he made threats and called back several times. These men are dangerous and should be put away. Telling people that they have committed Tax Fraud and that they are sending a Police Officer to your house to arrest you and that you will go to jail for 60 days if you do not pay them. I cannot believe that anyone has the gall to impersonate a Gov Agency and make such threats. Almost had a heart attack. Absolute debauchery.

I WAS CALLED AND TOLD I WOULD BE JAILED FOR TAX FRAUD... WHEN I REQUESTED A MAILED STATEMENT HE HUNG UP ON ME

this is pure spam. Another one of those con jobs using fear to rob a person of his/her money We can only hope others just hang up on them or ignore the call completely as I did. .

Call around 3:00 pm today (8/27/2016) Asked for my wife (drastically) mispronounced her name. Told her that person he mentioned didn't live here and the tried to tell me her husbands name - mispronounced my name to. Said she owed taxes. Told him he was a scam artist, that he needed to learn to speak English and he hung up.

"Simon Jackson" just called me too. He was super creepy and super dumb. I get calls from that number all the time. I just pretend I'm 10 second Tom and change my name and ask him his over and over.

they called, said I was going to jail, I told them to go park their elephant somewhere else, sabu said he would do my mother, I said you'll have to dig her up first, you sick cretin, he swore some more in a language that I never knew existed, hung up laughing my ass off, hope he calls again, that was fun

got call from 202-622-3000. gerald coven said that i was going to be arrested unless i pay $4298.00 for tax fraud. i told him i do not owe anything. he said i have to pay or go to prison for180 days.

They called me and the man became agitated because I was playing along and was being "smart". He told me that he police would be at my house in one hour to "punch you in the face". I can't stop laughing!

These people are outside the country. They use a DC area code and a tagline that says US Treasury. They are not. Do not believe them. This is a total scam.

I received a call from the same number (202) 622-3000 today at 4:27pm EST. The guy told me that I have Tax fraud and make sure that I have a lawyer who can work with me. I told him confidently that I filed my tax return on time and accurately. And yes, I have a lawyer to represent me. I told him that I don't entertain this kind of discussion over the phone. It has to go through the proper channel not via phone. He said that I'd be receiving a letter tomorrow so I should be ready.
