CTR 277: Many times it is an abandoned robo-call. Sometimes the message just states, "Press 1 for yes or 2 for no." The consumer does not press any buttons.

they say they have important information regarding your credit card. then they say they can lower your interest rate. when you won't give them your credit card number they hang up on you. if you get mad and tell them to stop calling they say we'll talk to you tomorrow.this is very frustrating. i can't believe that this is allowed to go on. please help to stop this harassment, and future companies from running scams like this.

It is the Department of Homeland Security. As part of the recent NDAA bill passed, they are now piecing together a list of numbers associated with known "suspected" people.

Did not answer and NO MSG left. I DO NOT AGREE that this is a 'Collection Agency" as these calls JUST starting appearing today, according to other websites.

Others report this is the same old "Political survey/"Win" a "Free" Cruise" SCAM - a PHISHING SCAM for ID Theft and CREDIT CARD THEFT.

Mr. Number reports that THIS NUMBER IS NOT A VALID, IN USE NUMBER, ie, it is SPOOFED, probably by SCAMMERS who are OVERSEAS.
