Jonathan Knight called my cell phone and stated that I owed the IRS money. I have been told that the IRS does NOT call anyone and that this is a scam!!!!

I just received the same call @ 11:50 AM. Saying he's name was Jonathan Knight, saying I owned back taxes, which is a lie. DO NOT answer your phone, it's a scam.

I just received a call from the same guy but I just hung up on him

I got a call from this guy pretending to be irs. It was T 10am and he said that i miss counted my taxes for 8yrs from 2007-2014. I haven't even worked in those years. I have never ever filed taxes before he said that i owe the IRS a lot of money and if I don't pay them back by 12pm Arizona time I would be arrested for 3yrs. This is how he asked me to pay back. He wanted me to go to the bank and get cash and then go to Safeway and get a government 35tax voucher in then go to the IRS building while I'm doing all this he has to be on the phone with me at all times. After this he has told me to ask my parents for money and dont tell them what I need $7,000 for. Which to me sounds like a scam. He said its against the law to say why i needed that kind of money. He said if she said why i need that much just say medical bills and just bills. This is such a scam. I got the call 4x today. He tells u to call him back but doesn't leave any number.
