(202) 666-5043

They said they were US Government. that there was a problem on my taxes and the Government thinks I am hiding something from them. Ha! I have nothing to hide. I knew it was a scam as soon as I heard his voice.

Have received four calls from (202) 666-5043 within a half hour!!

Called saying they're the US Treasury and had money they wanted to give me. The person who they asked for in my house was not home, so I asked what this was pertaining to and for a call back number. The caller immediately copped an attitude, "why am I even talking to you if you're not XYZ". I said that doesn't sound like the attitude the US Dept of Treasury would give someone. He got more cocky with me. Eventually he hung up. Minutes later he called back and ID'd himself as the FBI. Same phone number on my caller ID. Told me there is a bomb in my house and it could go off at any time. Told me to have a great day and hung up. Both calls I could tell he was in a busy call center. Lots of background chatter.

haven't stopped calling me all day. tried answering once but they hung up. I have them blocked now..

They continue to call me even after I have asked at least 7-8 times to be removed from their calling list. Today, I listened to their info and then I asked that the information be mailed to me. "John Miller", the reps name and he had an very thick accent to have the name John Miller, said he had to verify my information and then he would give me a call back number at the end of the call. When I told him I could not give out banking information without verifying things myself, he hung up on me.

They said that they are from the US government and that they wanted to give me money back for all the taxes i have paid. It would be 85,000 dollars but they wanted my account number and or a gift card they can put the money onto.
