I received this call tonight in regards to receiving a $9,000.00 grant from the Federal Government Dept. Of Treasury. I knew that all gov official authorities have the option to send it in the mail. When asked to just send it in the mail, the caller said he wasn't allowed to do that. He said that I would have to provide information such as a checking or savings acct. He had my name and address but requested validation of my checking account. When I asked if I could speak to a supervisor he said since they were about to close he would have to call tomorrow for me to speak to a supervisor. I asked for his name and he said his name was "Marcus" but he didn't speak fluent English and sounded Indian. I asked for his supervisors name which he said was "Matt Johnson". He told me if he got my bank information from me I could have the $9,000 to my bank account in 45 minutes. Working at a call center previously I knew that a supervisor is always on duty even near closing. I also knew from working at a bank that no govt loan or grant is immediately deposited into an acct in 45 mins...I knew that with the IRS even a tax refund Direct Deposited takes 2-3 weeks. I provided no bank sensitive information and researched this number further. Please report this number to the Federal Trade Commission. This needs to be stopped!! Blocking number as well. Thanks. :)

Calls my cell phone constantly, trying to sell me a fake federal grant. Leaves threatening messages when I don't reply. Called me 5 times today, twice during dinner. Said he was going to come blow up my house and kill my family in a thick Indian accent.

Same thing happened to me, when i asked for a supervisor he gave me one, "John Morrison"and I asked for his number and his number was 202-674-9103

Called me saying I had an unclaimed grant of $9000 from the Federal Government. I asked what program and they hung up.
