Ditto, got a call that this was the last call and an arrest warrant would be issued. I have not and not and will not call because they will know they have a live number and callback will increase inevitably.
Don't waste time calling these guys back. When they are challenged, they'll hang up. I called twice and after being hung up on twice, I told the same guy that I was calling the police. He said "surely surely surely don't waste my time" and then hung up on me.
I've had at least 3 calls from them in 2 days. Annoying!
total scam reported to www.tigta.gov
Same IRS "lawsuit" recording. I didn't stay on the line, but called the ID number right back (which was also the number the message said to call). The "IRS" answered, in a thick Asian-sounding accent. Must've been the Malaysian or Chinese office of the IRS, lol. I took charge of the call and pressed the guy who answered for personal information about him, i.e., his name, his address where he's sitting, etc. "Jack" actually started answering my questions! First said he was calling from Washington, DC, then changed it to Honolulu, Hawaii..I said that those are a fair distance apart, but please give me the address in Honolulu, as I used to live there and know it very well. I wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise, everytime he tried to turn my attention to his sham reason for the call. He finally got tired and hung up on me. I called him back, same guy answered, and told him it was rude to hang up, that I wasn't finished talking. He hung up again. My 19-year-old son walked into the room, staring wide-eyed in disbelief at what he was hearing. He told his friends his mother was making crank phone calls to crank phone callers! This is too much fun.
