They called me yesterday. It was a recording saying that there was a charge filed against me for criminal activity in tax evasion through the IRS. It said to call this number back, which I did later that day - and it was disconnected. However, I did receive another call yesterday evening, which I let go to voicemail - same message, but it was from a different number: 202-580-8426. When I called it back, it just rang and rang - no answer, no voicemail.

This number left a message about the IRS Criminal Investigation and to call back...which I did. I couldn't understand the fellow that answered the phone. When they asked for a bogus name I told them they had the wrong number and hung up. What's up with this?

Called and she said she was an officer with the IRS and to call her back at this # which I didn't do. Figured it was just another scam!
