Just got the same call this evening. Robotic female with a British accent, claiming that I am under investigation for tax invasion with a warrant out for my arrest. "Thank you," to all who'd posted to reveal this scam.

Automated English Accent female stating her name was "Rachel from the IRS" who was calling from the IRS regarding a Law Suit Application filed in regard to Tax Evasion. She request an immediate call response to: 202-697-6650 or there would be a "warrant of arrest issued" Never noted my name. I don't know how people such as this get away with this - such a scam!!

Same exact message. Funny that so much British languaging was used in their message, the IRS is a US based organization and would be more likely to speak US English instead. Lol.

Had a message on our phone when we got home from work today from "Rachel." Same tax evasion story as all the others. We looked on the internet and found this scam alert. we decided to turn the tables on the guy and called the number they gave us. I asked if "this was the IRS" and the man with a strange accent replied "Yes, this is Mike Ross with the IRS." Then I told them that I found their scam on the internet and had turned their number over to the FBI. Before abruptly hanging up on us, the person said "F____ YOU!"

Rachel just left a message sounding like a British version of cool speech. Said they have a case against us for tax evasion. Since when does the IRS call you at home, threaten you, and not even call you by name?

I got the same type of automated message as described in these earlier posts - tax evasion, warrant for my arrest, blah, blah, blah... Coincidentally, I just recently read an article about this very scam. Apparently, they've been able to bilk hundreds of thousands of dollars from unsuspecting citizens. What a shame :(.

Got the same automated call from Rachel saying there was a lawsuit application filed against me regarding tax evasion. No response would result in my arrest.... Also to call number back and ask for Mike Cross from the crime investigation unit of IRS.

Automated female voice (Rachel), told me to call 202 697 9308 or a warrant to tax evasion would be issued. This is a scam, ignore it.

I received a call from these morons... saying that they had been trying to contact me since January regarding my Tax Forms from 2011- to present 2015 they even said they had forward information to my younger sister (adult) what really scared me was that "Mr. Ross" knew my sister's full name he offered me to resolve this "matter" immediately by paying $3000.00 with a credit card, but since I told him I didn't have that amount money handy he said that I will be receiving a Sheriffs visit at home where they will be handing me important documents. "Mr. Ross also mentioned that if I was not available in person to receive the officer he would be waiting for me to arrive home and then I would be taken into custody... after that he automatically disconnected the call.

Someone with a "Nigerian" accent said they were from the crime unit at the IRS. Asked if I could pay a specific amount right now. I said I was going to hang up and he said oh no you can't do that. Sure sign of a scam! He also mentioned they could put a warrant out for my arrest.

Just got an automated call from this number saying that there was a warrant out for my arrest for tax evasion instructing me to call back and ask for officer Mike Ross. When I called back a man with a very thick indian accent asked if I was someone else and when I said no, he asked me something intelligible and then hung up on me.
