06/11/15 10:9 AM Southeast Michigan. Call just came in on my residential phone line from "Unavailable" as the caller ID and this 202-738-1854 phone number. The answering machine recorded a woman's voice said that left the following message:
Hello. This call is officially a final notice from [the] IRS, Internal Revenue Service. The reason of [for] this call is to inform you that [the] IRS is filing [a] law suit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 202-738-1854. I repeat 202-738-1854. Thank you.
This is obviously spam - a scam, like every other bit of spam I've received there are grammatical errors! It's the first clue that the call is not legitimate.

I am getting a call from 202-738-1856 claiming I owe money and if I don't pay I will go to jail and be arrested ant my job

Yes, just called me. Phone recognized it as +20 2 7381854. Long pause, then automated recording of someone identifying themselves as an IRS agent, and this is the last notice of lawsuit.

This is a total SCAM. The IRS does NOT start by filing a law suite against you. If you're not sure, go directly to the IRS website and call a REAL IRS number.

Received a vm today, from IRS that they had filed a law suit against me for tax issues.. Returned the call, caller have me a name "Debbie Garner" ID#301113 and case #DC218926 said a law suit has been filed against me due to the fact that I did not respond to them in earlier attempts via mail. Once she explained to I had tax issues from 2008-2013 I found combining years rather odd. She asked if I had questions, I said no then I was asked if I then wanted to speak to an IRS lawyer (not attorney).. I said yes the seconds later I was disconnected.

Yes they called me too & identified themselves as IRS, THREATENING A LAWSUIT. when I called the number a foreign male cussed at me, told me to F him & other nasty things. He used some vulgar words.

Says "final notice, IRS is filing law suite against you" and I was to call this number 202-738-1854 to find out more.
