I received a call at !2:32 pm this has to be a scam because I don't owe the IRS anything! and have not received anything in the mail from them before or after this call in the middle of the night

Phone message was simply "Call at the department number," and then a female voice repeated the number twice.
Caller: No identity given.
YEs- what is this about? Did not sound legitimate - mumbling in the background and asked if I was someone else- then hung up. Did not identify themselves.
