The first caller told me that I am going to receive grant money of $8500 from the government, I don't have to pay it back to the company or the government. It is free money to do whatever I want, pay bills, start a business, go to school as long as I don't spend it on gambling. They asked me where I want the money transferred, bank to bank or to walmart, moneygram,etc.

I had a feeling this is a scam so I told them to wire the money to walmart.(no way will i give them my bank acct). After I provided them my address, they gave me a phone no.(202-738-4596) to call so i can talk to the senior accountant officer and give the confirmation number.

I called the "officer" who asked me to wire money thru moneygram the amount of $296 before receiving the grant money. I told her if this is free money from the govt. why do I have to pay before receiving it? .......I told her this is a SCAM!
