OMG I just got a call from the "Treasury department" so I asked for a badge number. He wouldn't give it to me, then threatened to kill me for asking. I told him if he worked for the justice department or the treasury department then he was required to give me that information. And that it was a federal offense to threaten someone over the telephone, And to not call me again.

Received call telling me the IRS was giving me $7000 for being such a good citizen, offer good today only, can deposit in my bank account or Western Union to Walmart. Wow.

They have called dozens of times claiming to be either govt grants, lottery winner or IRS coming to arrest me within 2 hours...I've always played along pretending to be so excited about the winnings then when they ask for bank info I just ramble off a bunch of random numbers..when they claim the account #s I gave them are invalid I would just laugh at them & hang up... apparently I've played them so many times now I've really pissed them off..today they called from this same # and just started threatening me with coming to rape my GF and killing me or cutting me bad...I simply threatened him back with whatever he said he would do to me I would do back to him twice as bad..the point is they are taking this scam to a whole new level...and yes, heavy in

I just received a call from this number. He said I was awarded 7,000 from a grant. I asked him to remove me from the call list. He said "NO" and that he was calling for MILLIE and wanted to talk to his girlfriend. I told him that my name was not MILLIE - my name was MYLEE and that he has the wrong number. He then continued saying I was his girlfriend. Finally I hung up the phone. I had someone dial back the same number and it was a non-working number.......

Caller ID said Washington DC. Heavy middle eastern accent. Told my wife he was with the government and he was sending her $7,000. She handed me the phone I asked his name and asked why he had a heavy accent with a name like Smith. He started to stutter and said he didn't speak or understand English all of a sudden. I asked what country he was calling from, he said "I call from US". I told him I was tracking his call and he was lying. After I told him a few "choice" words I told him to stay on the phone for one more minute so I could pinpoint his location. He hung up.

Kept asking me why he had the wrong number and what was my name if I wasn't the person he was calling for.

I got the same call about being selected to receive a $7,000 grant due to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. It sounded too good to be true so the red flags went up. Especially when she asked for me by my nickname which the government wouldn't typically know. The scary thing is that the knew a lot of other details - phone number, home address, email address. The options were to have the money sent by Western Union (really!) or sent directly to my bank account (uh huh) or to my debit card (yeah, right). I went along to see where this was leading without giving out any information other than marital and employment status as the other comments indicated. I was sure hoping it was real but it was too hard to believe.

I got a call from this number 202-754-8219 this man tells me he is with the FBI and that i owe him 10 grand. I called him a scammer and he told me he was goin to have me raped and killed cause that is what the FBI can do to pepole... I told him no they dont. And then i hung up and called the cops the same guy calls me back and left me a message in great detail that he would come to my house and have me raped and killed GROSS AND VERY SICK HE WAS DO NOT ANSEWER THE PHONE TO THIS NUBER

It doesn't matter what you do...dont answer, leave to voicemail, answer, they still won't stop calling. I just want to get extremely violent. They called just today 23 calls in 15 mins after I told them not to call. Ugh so nerve wrecking

After repeatedly asking not to call tonight they called 23 times, ridiculous and extremely upsetting, and they are still calling, what do I do, I'm on the do not call list but I have to wait 30 miserable days before I can make a formal complaint meanwhile they keep calling its insane

They called my husband and told him they were the irs and that he had to pay them over $5009.00. Within two hours or his bank account would be taken/garnished and he would be taken to jail. I told him it was a scam and that the irs would always send a letter. They called him back twice. He was frightenedc and upset. I told him to block the number and not to worry about it. Beware!! My mother got the same call but it was a different amount of money.

They keep calling saying I won a government grant for being a good citizen. In order to receive that grant you need to pay $250 to someone. Scam!!! I asked them not to call any more but they keep calling.

They call my phone and ask for someone named Bobby. I tell them enshrined they call that they have the wrong number because they do. They immediately hang up and call back a few minutes later!

I let it go to voice mail and they didn't leave a message
