10.14.16 - Received a call from 202-754-8405 - woman with very heavey accent told me she was from the US grants dept and because Ive pay my bills on time my number along with several thousand other was put in a drawing and I am one of the winners to receive a grant for $7000. She said I could receive the money 3 different ways - western union, deposit, or something else I couldnt really understand her. I asked her to hold while I thought about how I would like to receive the grant money - I then googeld the number - when I came back on the line there was a man with a heavy accent - I eventually hung up. I was tempted to saw sure Ill take a western union ha - but i dont really know how that stuff works and I know this is a scam anyway but for a second I had a hint of hope!

Yes, this time he said his name was Peter. They gave me a confirmation # and a account managers #. I keep getting calls like this and I don't believe them. Scam!!!

I got a call from this guy he said his name was Jason from the federal grants department and said that because I don't have a criminal record and I have not filed bankruptcy that I was approved for a grant and gave me a confirmation number and a phone number to call that number don't excise.
