Today they are calling on behalf of Vets. Recording. Hung up and blocked.
Caller said he was calling from ASV and he wanted a credit card number and he would wait on the phone for me to get the card. He also claimed that I had donated $25 before, which I never have. The address he gave me was in Arizona although the org is in Maryland.
Caller ID says ASV.
Recorded message says they are calling from IRS. Officer Lauren Matthews. Reffered to taking action against me.
Robo "IRS" message threatening legal action. I called and asked them what their website is and "Officer John" said it is www.IRS.Gov. I asked what their physical address is and he said "Washington D.C" I said no I need the physical address to I can correct the problem and send a check. He stuttered and miraculously my phone call was dropped. I called back 7 times and each time was hung on before speaking to anyone. Finally they answered and told me to stop being so hostile and to enjoy my life.I demanded they block my number and he hung up. I get these call so a few times a year and it sickens me how difficult it is to get a hold of a real life IRS agent and I worry about the elderly or people less informed getting scammed by these horrible people.
